Sylvia gift for Valentine Day was surgery on her right hand (carpal tunnel).
Operation went well and hardly no pain, 21 stitches
On the 4th day, my wife decided to prepare some soup. I was mowing the lawn and came in the house to see what she had been doing. Brianna (her daughter-in-law) had given us pot roast the day before and she decided to make soup out of the leftovers. When she explain how she open the can (one handed and with her mouth), cutting the cabbage with her elbow, I got my camera out for an retake. She is very stubborn and independent.
Sylvia stated it was just adding a can of tomatoes, several whole red potatoes, cabbage and water to the pot roast. She gave up on cutting the cabbage and decided to just tear if off.
Sleeping at night was also interesting. Right hand had to be elevated with pillows.
One night she had severe pain and had to have her hand raised high. I decided to put on praise music for her to go to sleep. Within 3 to 5 minutes she was asleep.
Next, she tried to work on the computer and tried to eat ice cream with her left hand.
