NEWEST H-E-B PLUS

Today was the opening of the largest H-E-B Plus store in Texas in San Antonio at Loop 1604 and Bandera Road. It is BIG. We were there this morning at the Grand Opening and did some shopping. It reminded me of "Black Frday" the day after Thanksgiving.

WEDDING - NETA AND PRESTON -2-

WEDDING CELEBRATION - NETA AND PRESTON

We have known Neta Clement for over 4 years and Preston Amend for about 2 years. So when they approached us as to whether we would help them elope and get a cruise for them we were honored. First thing on the agenda was to go to Austin to a place where they can get you a passport in 2 days (for a hefty price) so we accompaned them on Tuesday, April 10th. We found 2 cruises (7 days) - 1 on RCCL and the other on Carnival Magic out of Galveston -- good deals and they chose the Magic since it was the newest and larger of the two.

On Friday, April 13th, Neta came to stay with us and we went with her to get her hair done on Saturday morning, April 14th. We met the groom at the Boerne Cibolo Nature Park where they first met--for a beautiful wedding ceremony by their single's pastor Dave McCall. It turned out not to be an elopement as they told his sister, Sylvia Batha, and his best friend from high school and his sister had a small but elegant reception at her home after the ceremony. She also invited her 2 best friends and their husbands and also his parents to the reception. Mason took lots of pictures as did a professional photographer Sylvia Batha hired. It was a lovely celebration of two friends becoming one --at long last!!!!
