Busy Week

Well, it has been busy and I'm not done yet. 2 doctors down and 1 more to go to tomorrow. Hoping I don't have to have Cataract surgery just yet and just new eyeglasses. Whats tough is not having Medical Insurance. God does provide and has so I'm ok. Leaving to NM tomorrow afternoon to go to my niece's bridal shower on Sunday and I have to go see my pedicurist on Saturday(I have ingrown toenails and she is amazing and much cheaper than going to see another Dr - a podiatrist) and also to visit my mom. On Monday I get to visit with some old friends that I taught Renewing Love with and maybe even a few others. I'm going alone without my sweetie and that is going to be tough to be away from him for so long. I miss him already and I haven't even left. I can't stay any longer because next week we celebrate our first anniversary. I can't wait to see what he's done to the house when I come back - he's the "cleaning machine" - I haven't had to vacuum in over a year or sweep the kitchen either. I don't know who's reading these journals except for the one follower but I plan to start posting my recipes people have been asking me for (always wanted me to write a recipe book) and also some menu ideas. The hardest part of making supper is trying to figure out" what shall I fix". Maybe, while I'm gone, my sweetie will post some more of his fabulous pictures.

WORKING IN THE YARD WITH TROY

Although it was COLD yesterday, today was really nice. Mason decided to blow leaves off the front of the house and work in the yard. We were scheduled to babysit with Troy while his parents went to a funeral and they arrived just as he was out there. Troy decided he wanted to be outside and started to "help" grampa Mason. He knows how to turn on switches and helped turn on and off the leaf blower. He really loved helping with the blower and when we came in he started crying because he still wanted to go out. After a little bacon and pancake breakfast, we went out to the back. Mason was pulling weeds and Troy and I were triming bushes and playing with his car and wagon. Then he decided to go help pick up weeds too. It was so cute to see the two of them "working" together. He doesn't talk much but makes his wishes known with his grunts and squeals and pointing. He does sign language for "more" and "done" and so he kept telling us he wanted to do more. We are hoping that anyone reading this does not turn us into the Child Labor Laws division for employing an almost 2 yr old (March 26) and paying him with just love, kisses, claps and yeas and bacon and pancakes. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Rainy day

What a great day to stay in and enjoy the rain - pajama day. Its dreary but to me its romantic. I love the rain. I don't know why I didn't move to Seattle - duh, Mason and my kids and grandkids live in TX so I will endure the heat to be with the ones I love. Its supposed to be cold. I'm going to make Chicken Soup today. Today we get to have Charles come live with us for 2 weeks. He is a dear friend from church who is between apts and I'm excited to have someone whom I can cook for. I know Mason will eat more too coz he does when we have company. I thought I had to go help out in the kitchen at church but they don't need me after all so maybe we can put up Mason's pictures on our walls and then we can take pictures and post our house for those of you who have not seen it or for the updates for those who have. You've got to share in on our Red walls - Anybody know what my favorite color is?

Bahamas Cruise - Photo's Part 2

A few more exciting photo's from the cruise.

CRUISE TO THE BAHAMAS

Well, we are back. We had a great time but the weather did not cooperate and because the water was choppy, we could not get to CocoCay (need tenders(sml boats)to get to land) so we had 2 1/2 days at sea and 1 1/2 days and 2 nights in Nassau. We didn't get to do any water sports but had fun anyway Mason did get to take more pictures as you will see. I did alot of dancing. We met a LOT of people from NY FL and GA. There were about 2600 people on the ship and a lot of children (it was winter break for the schools). The food was good and there was a lot of entertainment - great shows and games. We did not even go into the casino but there was so much else to do, we did not miss it. We toured Paradise Island -Atlantis. The hotel there was fabulous & so is the price ($2600/night)-glad we could go back and forth to the ship which we did for lunch and then went back off and toured the city of Nassau and did alot of window shopping. I bought myself an orange nightgown $13 to replace my favorite "holey" ragged one.
